Overnight Boarding
Most requestedYour pup stays with me — couch time, bed cuddles, backyard zoomies, and a routine that actually feels like home.
Boarding, walks, drop-ins, and sitting across NYC — from my home in Queens to yours anywhere in the five boroughs (and out to 30 miles). After years on Wag, I'm going independent so I can spend more time with the pups and less with the app. Same care, same dogs (hopefully yours next), better experience for everyone.

what I do
I keep things simple. Pick what your pup needs, send me a note, and we'll figure out the rest together (I'll always offer a free meet-and-greet first).
Your pup stays with me — couch time, bed cuddles, backyard zoomies, and a routine that actually feels like home.
Real walks with a real pace. I'm great with pullers, reactive dogs, and pups who need to actually burn off energy.
Quick check-ins for food, potty, meds, and a little play. You get photos and a note from every visit.
I come to you so your dog gets to keep their bed, their toys, and their routine. Perfect for anxious or older pups.
Patient with puppies still figuring it out, gentle with seniors who just want to nap on the couch beside me.
Dog first-aid certified and comfortable with oral meds. Post-op, diabetic, and special-needs pups are very welcome here.
straightforward pricing
Going independent means I can charge a little less than the apps and still actually make a living. These are flat NYC-area rates — no surprise platform fees, no "service" charges at checkout.
Custom care plans (post-op, multiple meds, very young pups) — ask me, we'll figure something fair out.
Priced fairly for NYC — still well under what you'd pay through Wag or Rover once their fees are added on.
what an overnight actually costs
apples-to-apples
Same care, same sitter take-home — here's what you'd pay through each option:
Direct with Kyra
$95
per night · no fees added
On Rover
~$132
20% sitter fee + 11% owner fee
On Wag
~$158
40% walker fee + owner booking fee
Math: to take home the same $95, the platforms have to charge you significantly more. Booking direct saves you roughly $35–65 per night — and Kyra keeps every dollar instead of giving up 20–40% to an app.

about me
I'm Kyra. I've been a dog person my whole life — the kid who pet every dog on the block, the friend who somehow ends up babysitting yours. After years of doing this through an app, I figured it was time to make it mine.
I know how much trust it takes to hand over your pet, especially the shy ones, the old ones, the "she's-a-lot" ones. I take that seriously. I'm patient, I'm flexible, and I'm not weirded out by a dog who wants to sit on my head at 6am (looking at you, Lacey).
p.s. yes, I bake dog cakes for birthdays. don't tempt me.
things I'm good at
my place
Furniture is fair game. The bed is fair game. The backyard is fenced and full of sunny spots. It's a calm, quiet house — no roommates, no kids running around, no chaos. Most pups settle in by the second night.

kind words
across every stay so far
"My first time using a sitter and Kyra made it so easy, even on short notice. She was super sweet with my shy girl Lacey and so flexible when I ran a little late at pickup. 100/10. We'll be back."
"Kyra is amazing with our big pit. Confident, calm, clearly knows what she's doing. Our dog gets excited the second she sees her at the door."
"She treated our dog like her own. Photo updates the whole stay, came home a happy tired pup. Easy choice for us going forward."
